Carnival will soon transform Rio de Janeiro into a huge arena festive. But the recent wave of riots and killings in neighboring Espirito Santo state, led to increased security measures on the eve of the holiday.
Plot 9,000 mobilized effective in the Brazilian capital after the violence that swept Espírito Santo, where over 120 people were killed in a week, after vacuum caused police greva. Increased security in Rio is not something new, as there were additional measures during the 2016 Olympic Games.
However, some tourists feel uneasy.

Municipality of Rio hosts more than one million visitors and claims the week of parades, street festivals, tourism and related activities, carnivals, will generate nearly a billion dollars. Another tourist, Gabriel says he is looking forward to the event.
"Everything is going very well and we are looking forward 'Sambadromën'" he said.
Carnival start on February 24 and will be followed by millions of spectators not only in Brazil but all over the world.
