Donald Trump US president con
demned the threats that have recently targeted the Jewish community in the US, calling them acts as horrible and painful.
These comments, Trump made after a visit to the National Museum of Culture of African American History, driven by the continuous calls by Democrats and Jews to denounce the phenomenon.
"The visit to the museum in memory back on our fight against intolerance and hatred. Antisemitic threats that are targeting the Jewish community in the US and their community centers are horrible and painful, and remind us that we must work hard to eradicate hatred and prejudice, "said Donald Trump.
The statement comes a day after the Association in Defense of Jews in North America reported that 54 community centers were faced with 69 different threats since January, including bomb attacks.
Missouri Police launched an investigation after more than 170 tombstones were damaged at a Jewish cemetery in Saint Louis. So far, Trump had not clearly addressed the issue, even when asked about anti-Semitic incidents in two press conferences.
His main focus was personal protection against accusations of anti-Semitism. Meanwhile, the new US leaders must also face increasing criticism from his party's ranks, with Senator John McCain promises to be the biggest pain in the head.
Messy Republican administration called "Trump" during a security conference in Munich, then in an interview for "NBC" flogged president for media attacks. "The first thing dictators do is press censorship", was the comment of McCain.
